Bower:
"'Art', at this point in history, is such a flexible concept, that it easily supports the collaborative, creative problem solving managers apply to complex stewardship issues."
I have such a hard time defining "art." I never know what is art and what isn't. This quote reminded me about how confused I still am on the concept of art. When can someone call themselves an artist?
Comp:
"Rather than a pre-defined project, these collaborations often see part of their task as giving form to community aspirations, defining their project with significant and long-term community input, even community dictates."
I like the idea of art helping a community. I feel like successful art sets something into motion. Whether it gets people thinking, or inspires, or involves the community. The art helped the community clean up, and included the communities aspirations.
